The Office of Management provides policy, planning, financial, management, and administrative services to the Office of Inspector General (OIG). The office formulates and implements policy and guidance in the areas of budget formulation and execution, short- and long-range staffing and organizational development, strategic planning, procurement, travel, training, information technology, security, and administrative services.
The OIG’s Office of Management consists of the following divisions:
The Technology Division delivers secure, customer centric, mission enabling technological solutions and services. It provides management/oversight of all DOE-IG IT systems, a robust Data Analytics program, and serves as liaison to the DOE OCIO and all other IT organizations servicing the DOE-OIG.
The Budget and Contracting Division services as a business partner to OIG leadership and staff for mission programs, budget development, status of funds execution, data analysis, and contacting needs.
The Human Capital Division provides a full range of human resources services to assist the IG in exercising its authorities provided by the IG Act of 1978, as amended. The office directs the performance of all personnel activities to support the OIG in performing its mission. The Division oversees a broad range of services which include Staffing and Classification, Employee Relations, and Work Life Programs including Workers Compensation, Benefits and Retirement, Payroll, Training, and Performance Management for the OIG.
The Strategic Planning and Management Operations Division performs all strategic-related mandatory reporting such as the OIG’s Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plan, Annual Performance Report, and Semiannual reports to Congress. It also oversees administrative management support activities to support the OIG in performing its mission, including activities associated with space, travel, physical security, property, continuity of operations, and general administrative support.
